"The right of publicity derived from public prominence does not confer a shield to ward off caricature, parody and satire. Rather, prominence invites creative comment." (Guglielmi, supra, 25 Cal. 3d at p. 869.)
I just posted this journal entry on my deviantArt profile about the situation I have: smolderingremains.deviantart.com/j...9/
I need to figure out if there's a POD vendor who will support my first amendment rights? Or another way to do this? Any suggestions?
Thanks! :)

Re: CafePress Fails to Understand the First Amendment
Wed, July 1, 2009 - 4:57 PMThey have the same misunderstanding of Right of Publicity... when I told them they were mistaken, they responded with "Right of Publicity extends to companies" -- completely ignoring the fact that it doesn't apply to the content in the first place.
